Job Description

SigmaTron International, Inc. provides various electronic manufacturing services. It provides printed circuit board assemblies and assembled electronic products; automatic and manual assembly and testing of products; material sourcing and procurement; design, manufacture, and testing of engineering support; warehousing and shipment services; and assistance in obtaining product approval from governmental and other regulatory bodies. The company serves customers in the appliance, gaming, industrial electronics, fitness, life sciences, semiconductor, telecommunications, consumer electronics, and automotive industries. SigmaTron International was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

The hours for this position are 11:00pm – 7:30am Sun – Thursday nights.   Training will be required on the day shift 6:30am – 3:00pm for several weeks.

Job Contents:

  • The Electronics Technician is responsible for analyzing and trouble-shooting SMT and thru-hole printed circuit boards in a production environment.
  • Candidate must be able test complex electronic assembled printed circuit boards and assemblies using test processes and procedures.
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to “trouble-shoot” complex electronic assemblies to component level using various test equipment including but not limited to oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies, function generators, frequency counters, audio analyzers and computer controlled test equipment.
  • Candidate must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Candidate must be able to work closely with both internal and or customer Engineers.
  • Candidate must be able to train test operators


  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in electronics or military equivalent in electronic technology.
  • 3-5 years of direct experience analyzing & trouble-shooting electronics based products
  • Familiarity with digital circuitry: micro – processors, digital logic gates, Multiplexors, and decoders, and analog circuitry: op – amp circuits and filters, discrete mosfets, and power regulation circuitry.
  • Ability to perform light mechanical assembly and disassembly
  • Must be able to read/write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to read electronics based schematics
  • Applicants must pass electronics basic skills test as well as basic English and math test.
  • Applicant must be available to work overtime when needed.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have experience in Windows Operating Systems, Excel, Word,

Training Time: Minimum – 30 days; Maximum – 90 days.

Environmental Demands: Must be able to sit for long periods and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
