Job Description

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor/Process Engineering Manager, Junior Technician is responsible for supporting and performing preventive maintenance wave soldering machines, selective soldering machines, board washing machine, conformal coating machines, potting machine and pre-form machines. Additional responsibilities may include but not limited to perform internal tools calibration, manual potting etc.


  • A solid electrical engineering background in analysis, troubleshooting, test instrumentation interface, electro-mechanical, and test hardware design.
  • Capable of leading a team of technicians across multiple programs and tasks.
  • Ensure technical support is being provided to all areas.
  • Recruit and hire engineers and technicians as needed to support current level of business, provide mentoring and guidance to develop those individuals.
  • Develop and achieve department goals & objectives.
  • Provide design-for-test (DFT) feedback and recommendations to customers.
  • Evaluates Test Technician skill levels and conducts performance evaluations.
  • Provide prioritization of Test Engineers and Technicians in support of production.
  • Develop and maintain test equipment and protocols and ensure completeness of documentation.
  • Must understand hardware, software and firmware including networking and communications protocols.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter that is able to work under minimal supervision, with excellent technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent customer interfacing skills.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to lead, plan, and execute test projects.
  • Direct contact with customers; daily interaction with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Planning, Program Management, Purchasing, and Quality Assurance departments.
  • Provide cultural leadership to drive projects to improve yield and quality of deliverables to internal and external customers.      Environmental Demands: None.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years experience in circuit board assembly or similar  manufacturing test environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
